Visiting Family Page 2
Aunt Martha (or Tía Tita, like I used to call her) had three children, Marta Margarita Elizabeth (Lissete), Manuel Antonio (Toño) y José Valentín (Chepe).
Lissete has had a very large family, 6 children and 9 grand children.
Rafael Fernando (Rafa), the oldest, is married to Olga, and they are the parents of Alfredito, whom we believe is going to be a biologist
or a veterinarian, or something like that, since he likes animals so much (specially worms, spiders, and all kinds of bugs. Yuk!). Rafa
is also the father of Fernando by his first wife, Iris.
Ana Beatriz (Bea) and Quique Alemán have three cute kids: Jennifer Alejandra, Rodrigo and Andrea Beatriz.
They live in Candelaria de la Frontera, near the border with Guatemala, where they have a bicycle repair shop. Quique
is also a teacher in a public school. When we visited they were in the process of building a small house. We hope to be able to
visit them again when the house is all finished.
Claudia (Guadalupe, Lupita de amor) is married to Carlos Roberto and they have 2 boys: Carlos Armando y Roberto Alejandro.
All this repeating of names had me all confused. The husband I would call Carlos and she calls him Roberto. Her eldest we
both called Carlos (at least we were in agreement about something) and the youngest, everyone calls him Ale (short for Alejandro, I
suppose) but I asked him what he would like to be called and he told me "Roberto", so that's that!
Raúl Ernesto and his wife Sonia have two very pretty daughters: Denisse y Evelyn. They both attend the bilingual school where Sonia
teaches, and they both speak English very well. Raúl owns and operates a company that installs computer networks
for large companies.
Luis Eduardo, Lissete's third son, is a sportscaster for Channel 33. He also has his own sports talk show. Lissete's youngest son, Daniel, was a
very intelligent young man. He was studying and at the same time he used to work in Raul's company. Sadly, Daniel died a few years ago.
Lissete also takes care of her brother Chepe, who is in a wheelchair. Chepe is a very happy person who likes to watch soccer games on t.v.,
listen to the radio, sing, and go on outings. And I didn't know it but he also speaks English!
