Hi, my name is Jonathan!

Welcome to my web page. I'm 10 years old & in the sixth grade. I should actually have to be in the fifth grade  but I got skipped a grade. I like to play the piano, chess, soccer  & to solve puzzles. Here is a puzzle for you to solve:

There are 4 men who want to cross a bridge. All begin on the same side. You have 17 minutes to get all of them to the other side. It is night and there is only one flashlight. A maximum of 2 people can cross at one time, and they must have the flashlight with them. Each man walks at a different speed, but a pair must walk together at the slower man's pace. Here are the speeds:

 Man No. 1 takes 1 minute to cross. Man No. 2 takes 2 minutes. Man No. 3 takes 5 minutes. Man No. 4 takes 10 minutes. (For example, if Man No. 1 and Man No. 4 walk across the bridge first, 10 minutes elapse by the time they get to the other side. If Man No. 4 returns with the flashlight, a total of 20 minutes has elapsed, and your mission has failed.) Can you solve this? Check for the answer next month.
